Mental Health Series Episode 2: Sunny Day! Enjoy this episode talking all about mental health in public school systems from a teacher's point of view.  Sunny goes above and beyond when teaching and makes her own curriculum for her kids to be successful.

Sunny Day is a full-time English teacher, or as her students call her “Big Sister,” at Western Heights Public Schools teaching 5th grade. As a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's in communications, she fell into her teaching job and is so thankful for all the life lessons it has taught her along the way. She has been named “Teacher of the Year” and was recently featured in Education Focus Magazine. Sunny is the current Miss Norman and is striving to obtain the title of Miss Oklahoma America this summer. Her platform is “Social, Emotional, and Life Skills” education courses implementing real-life training that kids need to succeed after high school. She has partnered with car dealerships to give her students the skill of how to change a tire and emotional learning in the classroom. She is known as Oklahoma’s Ms. Frizzle and strives to make an impact everywhere she goes.
